There will be a "Best Painted & Themed" Prize:
Display an explanation of your theme with your painted army over the lunch break. Provide no more than a 1-page synopsis in legible font; all attendees will vote, and should vote for someone other than themselves (CPG will break ties). The winner will receive a 15% off coupon!

There is room for up to 14 players in the event.

Fair play and good sportsmanship, as always, will be a key focus of this event, as there will potentially be several new players. Veteran players should take it upon themselves to explain what they are doing and why to their inexperienced opponents to reduce confusion, and encourage them to come to future events.

Players should devise one 120 point list. A minimum of 10 points should be invested in
command cards, although you may spend more if you wish.

Red vs. Blue matching will be attempted for each game. In the event that a Red-on-Red / Blue-on-Blue matchup is necessary, refer to the valid force book list; lower numbers give your force preference for Axis, higher numbers for Allies; (a true tie will be resolved by a simple roll-off).

The following books (with command cards) and supplements will be valid in this event:

Missions for this event are as follows:
GAME #1: "El Alamein"
120 points, 10:30am - 1:00pm
MISSION: "Free for All" (randomize attacker)
In late October of 1942, General Montgomery commits the British 8th Army to an all-out attack on the Axis lines. Rommel, convalescing in Europe, is quickly flown in for a prompt counterattack; one of the great battles of the Second World War had begun!

GAME #2: "Operation: Torch"
120 points, 2:00pm - 4:30pm
MISSION: "No Retreat" OR "Contact"; Allies Attack, Axis Defends and chooses Mission
On November 8th, 1942 green American Army troops hit the beaches of North Africa in their first battle of World War II. They quickly push past the confused French defenders (most of whom eventually switch sides), and soon come into contact with true Axis forces. After their route at El Alamein, the Axis forces are now surrounded and fighting with their backs to the wall.

GAME #3: "Stalingrad (Operation: Uranus)"
120 points, 5:00pm - 7:30pm
MISSION: "Counterattack" OR "Bridgehead," Axis Attacks, Allies Defend and Choose Mission
On November 19th, 1942, the Soviet Army launched Operation: Uranus, beginning the envelopment of Axis forces at Stalingrad. Romanian Army units holding the Axis flank are quickly brushed aside. Wehrmact forces hastily launch a counterattack, attempting to prevent the envelopment of 6th Army.
