Flames of War – Here Is the New Official Objective for the 2026 Tournaments

By Paolo Paglianti

In just a few weeks, on March 14–15, the Italian FOW National will take place in Milan. As always, Battlefront Miniatures has been extremely supportive and has already sent us the 2026 Objectives for all 50 expected players. As you can imagine, it’s Early War team-themed.

Here it is, inside its little box. You can spot a tank: it’s a Panzer 38(t), and as the inscription says, it’s Rommel’s.

Let’s take the pieces out. As usual, the tank is made of resin, with some metal parts to assemble.

There are no instructions included, and I think we’re among the first to receive them! If we’ve understood correctly, this is what the final model should look like: Rommel standing proudly on his tank, in front of a road and a milestone. It would probably look perfect with “PARIS” or “DUNKIRK” written on it!

If you’re near Milan, or fancy a holiday in Italy, there are still about ten spots left. On the beautiful Combat Command website you can see the list of registered players. More than half are foreigners, and there are many well-known names! The Italian FOW National is part of the European Series League, connecting tournaments in 6 different Nations across Europe

Each player will receive one of these BF 2026 Objective, a Slitherine coupon to buy some serious strategy PC videogame (Alright, you know I work at Slitherine — so I’m basically playing at home!) plus a special gadget: a turn counter by Warbases, enhanced with a (roughly) 6mm tank — of course, fully painted!

You can find all the information there, but if you’d like to know more (including a few tips on what to visit in Milan!), feel free to write to me! (my email is paglianti@gmail.com). May the best player win!

    1. Soon as I saw the sculpt, like you Les, knew where they cast it from. Just release the model again, it’s not hard.
