Art de la Guerre Tournament Day 2: 28mm Dark Ages Era 200pts

Day 2 of the OMG Art de la Guerre (ADLG) tournament was 25/28mm and was Dark Ages era themed. We had fewer players but it was also a holiday here in Canada. Victoria Day. Where we graciously asked the Queen if we could be our own country and she said yes, rather than revolt like our southerly neighbors. What better way to celebrate than in the basement playing some ADLG at the club!

Apparently, Jeff B 3D printed and painted this medieval Scandinavian army in roughly 3 weeks.
He was squaring off vs Duncan’s Medieval Scotsmen. As a Campbell, you know who I was rooting for.
Nick’s HYW English and Steve L’s Viking & Leidang fighting in a diagonal battle line and not the usual line across the table.
Another unconventional battle line.
Vikings in the desert
Chariots chasing their enemy into the sea (or river, they had rolled up a coastal feature on one side)
Pike vs Horse
Shocking, the pike won and are turning the flank
Andy’s Nikophorean Byzantine vs Ben’s HYW English

GW contrast paints it would appear, they look good on colorful troops such as these.
John’s Gauls trying to turn the flank.
Vive la France, but also English Lions……. confusing.   🙂
The Viking horde is actually outnumbered!
Gorgeous models at this scale.
The longbowmen are pressed forward
“I declare you a heretic!”
More Scotsmen to cheer for Rob Hingley’s force at deployment.
These chariots are so well painted.. shields, everything. At least they are DRESSED for the desert
Light troops on Light Troops
Anyways here are the results:
Nick Swales 267 Hundred Years War English
Duncan Martelock 230 Medieval Scots
Ben Taylor 209 Hundred Years War English
Jeff Black 164 Medieval Scandinavian
Robert Hingley 164 Medieval Scots
John Cowen 162 Gallic
Steve Lussier 118 Viking and Leidang
Tod Creasey 101 Feudal Spanish
Andy S. Lee 70 Nikephorian Byzantine
Next club meeting, there will be a demo game of Lasalle II.   I’ve never played a Sam Mustafa game so interested to see how it plays.  I’ve heard good things.  Stay Tuned
