Following a successful campaign, is due to release additions to their in the coming months. These additions include a variety of US and Russian miniatures including nine-man fire teams for both nations.

The metal models come in a healthy variety of poses as they shoot, move, and communicate around the battlefield. This month we’ll take a look at the Russian miniatures.

Like the US miniatures we looked at last month, the Russians have clean lines with clear separation between the different components of the model which makes it easy to see what’s sculpted as what. The miniatures arrived with an average amount of flash that needed cleaning up before priming. The stances and poses of the models appear more fluid and organic than the US infantry. These poses give the miniatures more character and personality.

Pros: Clean sculpt lines. Appreciated variety of dynamic poses. Easy to recognize equipment and load-outs.

Cons: Each infantryman is equipped almost too uniformly. Some variety in gear or different options in webbing add-ons would help to give the models more flavor and character.

Overall thoughts: The miniatures are well designed and well cast. Anatomical proportions are accurate and clean sculpt lines make it easy to identify the different pieces of kit the miniatures are equipped with. There was minor flash to clean upon arrival but no worse than your average pack of metal miniatures. The stances are dynamic and give the models personality.
