BTW we discussed how we couldn’t find Italian-crewed 88s.. they were called Cannone da 88/56 (old german FlaK-18s) so they were used.
In the old book they have an attachment of German 88’s. With the new rules the only German attachments you can get are units that are core units. Instead of making an exception for that rule they just put the unit in the Avanti book.
Hello,
I just listened to this episode of the podcast and enjoyed it a lot. I am looking at an order of battle dated 24 May 1942. There are 88 mm guns in the 27th Brescia infantry division artillery regiment and there are others that are attached to the 132 Ariete armored division in its XVIII artillery battalion.
You can see other units with them at this site: http://niehorster.org/019_italy/42-10-23/corps_20.html
Cheers,
Ed
Thanks Ed!
