Note: The author is reviewing an early beta-test of the game and works on the development team for Heart of Leviathan.

You have seen the teases on Facebook and have wondered what this new game is all about. I was lucky enough to have Image Studios send me a beta copy of the game to playtest for the next few weeks. Walter Vail who runs was gracious enough to let me spoil some of the game for you.

I have been working with Walter on the rules for a while now, I love playing with Dreadnoughts, I have a ton of ships in the 1/2400 scale and have worked on some homebrew rules to play with my massive fleets.

NDNG Wants You: User Content for the Community

Gamers are a not a shy breed and they have no problem creating, adapting, expanding, and even re-writing the games they play. New forces, linked campaigns, missions and new rules are some of the things I have seen created to help expand the games we play and bring some excitement into our community. So with this said, NDNG is now asking you to share the ideas you have an some of the content you have created. Starting with the  for written by some of our staff we plan to bring you user created content to expand your gaming experience.

I have been approached by so many gamers who have a lot of great ideas. Well now if you want share what you have created with us please send us a draft of your project to  and we will work with you to make it a good final product suitable to share with other gamers. You will get full credit for your ideas and in return you can have the satisfaction that you have helped other players to enjoy the games they play.

I cannot wait to hear from you and see what great stuff you have come up with.

NoDiceNoGlory Turns One

NDNG came to life on 1 Jan 2018 when a few writers from WWPD.net decided to carry on bringing our community great content about what is going on in our hobby. Over the year the core group grew from five writers to almost 20 contributors who really do cover war gaming roll by role.

When we started we didn’t want to be just another review site or flood our readers with after-action reports that gave little insight into the games we cover. When we first created the site I reached out to Pete Simunovich at Battlefront and asked him to see if we could have a similar relationship with his company as WWPD did. He said something that has stuck with me ever since;

…. Are you a site that promotes the hobby with inspiration for hobbyists and a touchstone for hobbyists
or another review site? The first one is much harder but much more rewarding I think.

Great War Forces- Teased

Many of you have been wondering about what will be in the Great War book, which is due out in March 2019. Before we delve into that I need to ask if you have taken advantage of the Great War sale being offered by Battlefront? If not, this article will make you want to stock up on what is left in stock.
The new book will be a lot like ‘Nam and Fate of a Nation; and it will contain the updated Version 4 rules for Great War and they will be the same as the new standard rules for all of the games. The Great War book will also contain all of the forces and special rules for the Great War in one big beefy volume.
The game is still played on a 4’x4’ table and the four missions developed especially for the Great War game is also included in the book. The special rules in the previous book are the same unless they have been incorporated into the rules with the switch to Version 4.

Armored Brigade or How I Now Get My Team Yankee Fix between Games

By Bill White

Sometimes at NDNG we like to hear from our readers and today Bill White has provided us with his review of Armored Brigade, and new release by the folks at Slitherine/Matrix Games. Armored Brigade is a PC game that puts you in the role of a NATO or Warsaw Pact commander whose mission is to reach the Rhine in 7 days or blunt the WP forces from rolling over West Germany. The game has multiple nations in which you can play and even includes the forces of the non-aligned Finns. You can find the game and check out the special offer we have at the end of this article.

How to maximize your Collection with the Great War Sale

Battlefront is having a great sale on great war and many players want to know how they can best take advantage of it. While I will not spoil what is in the new book, I will give you some advice on how to either start a Great War army or expand the forces you have.
When the first book came out in 2015, I was able to get all four of the box sets and a lot of add-on items, I have also played each of the armies I collected back then.

Let me spoil one thing, all of the forces for sale will be used in the new book.
